Problems

● The slow growth of medical capacity, the insignificant effect of progress in healthcare on human health, and quality of life.
● Weak integration of science in the diagnosis of the human condition and treatment of diseases – both congenital and acquired.
● Scientific advances in healthcare are rarely implemented. They often remain “on paper”, blocked by patent restrictions and bureaucracy. If the restrictions and all legal issues are settled, a long-term period of integration of scientific knowledge and achievements into real life is required. They will be implemented in developed countries first, with limited access. Decades may pass before the technology is widely accepted.
● Perception of the current situation as a given, without the possibility to change it. The current situation is considered “normal”.
● Scientists are supported on a leftover basis. The most important role is frequently played by charities and individuals. The government stands aside from this issue, especially in developing countries. Developments are ignored and lost.

Solution

● Formation of the main directions of development that require a revolution in the methods of diagnosis and treatment. Special attention should be paid to rare diseases that are currently considered as “commercially impractical” to research.
● Creation of techniques that will allow moving forward in solving current problems according to the algorithm.
● Creation of a development ecosystem that will bring together researchers, scientists, medicine and IT specialists. Creation of a global cluster that will work on solving issues 24/7.
